A Former Prosecutor Fighting For You
Tom and Zak have known each other for years, since the times when they tried criminal cases against each other while Tom was a prosecutor. For six and a half years, Tom prosecuted major crimes as an Assistant District Attorney with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. He prosecuted dozens of jury trials to verdict, as well as hundreds of bench trials, motions to suppress evidence, motions to suppress statements, motions in limine (pre-trial evidentiary motions), preliminary hearings, pre-trial and post-trial motions, bail motions, and sentencings, with crimes ranging from multiple-defendant attempted murder cases, aggravated assaults, shootings, stabbings, robbery, rape/sexual assault crimes, burglary, drug dealing (“Possession With Intent to Deliver”) cases, gun (VUFA) charges, theft, fraud, forgery, DUI, drug possession and other crimes.
While preparing for trials as a prosecutor, Tom would thoroughly review each and every detail of the cases he handled, in order to assess their “weaknesses” - missing evidence, unanswered questions, glaring or subtle inconsistencies, contradictory witness statements, half-hearted investigations, and other potential suspects. Tom would often be shocked when a defense attorney informed him that a defendant was going to “take a deal” or plead guilty, because Tom saw the weaknesses in the case and, more importantly, how the case could have easily been won by the defense. Tom now brings those skills that he developed as a major crimes prosecutor to “the other side of the courtroom”, as he now diligently and zealously represents those who have been charged with all types of crimes. He will thoroughly review all of the evidence in your case with you and your loved ones, and take his time to explain in detail the law regarding your charges, as well as strengths, weaknesses and defense strategies in your case. Also, as a former prosecutor, Tom knows firsthand every argument, and every move, that the prosecution will make, and will plan your defense accordingly.
